Women in Palestine
Outdoor exhibition of photographs by Véronique Vercheval
Place de la Liberté – Brussels

This exhibition of photographs by Véronique Vercheval brings together a series of portraits of Palestinian women. Supported by Présences et Actions Culturelles (PAC), it proposes to discover these faces, mirrors of the daily life and Palestinian lives.

Véronique Vercheval began her career as a photojournalist for the magazine Voyelles in 1979. She has conducted long-term sociological and documentary investigations, notably for the Archives of Wallonia. She has photographed steelworkers, glassworkers, miners, nurses and doctors, farmers, road transporters… From her travels in Palestine, starting in 2002, the Belgian photographer brought back images, mostly portraits, revealing a Palestine far from the clichés usually conveyed.

The exhibition will be on view from March 5 to 11, 2022.
Responsible editor: Anne Vanesse – 14, rue de la presse. 1000 Brussels.
Organization: Willy Peers Family House and Secular Palestine.
